Joe Ceci was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta on May 5, 2015 to represent the constituency of Calgary-Fort. On May 24, 2015 Premier Rachel Notley appointed him President of the Treasury Board, and Minister of Finance. Prior to his role in provincial politics, Joe was a highly regarded civic leader in Calgary. He was a successful alderman with the City of Calgary for 15 years, and served as Vice-Chair of the Finance Committee and Chair of the Community and Protective Services Committee. Prior to joining the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission as President and CEO in August of 2012, Bill enjoyed a rewarding 34-year career as a highly-decorated member of the RCMP, which included 18 years in communities spanning nearly every region of the province of Alberta. This experience has given Bill a true appreciation of the province’s dynamics and the invaluable insights into community influence of liquor and gaming fairness. Echoing the entrepreneurial spirit of Albertans, Bill is always looking for ways for the AGLC to improve.
Throughout his nearly 30-year career with the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission, it’s safe to say Alain Maisonneuve has seen quite a bit. Starting in the Finance department in the late ‘80s, he’s moved his way around the organization through a number of different roles and areas of responsibility, from finance to licensing to charitable gaming to liquor, where as Vice President of Regulatory Services he oversees the liquor supply chain, mark-up, planning, reporting and relationships with the liquor industry.
Alain’s comprehensive experience gives him the knowledge and expertise required to truly understand the current state of the liquor industry in Alberta and how best to move forward. He is most looking forward to building on those relationships today and for years to come.
Eric has been with the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission since 2008. His background as a social worker and counsellor provides insight into his role at the AGLC and his work within Social Responsibility. At the AGLC, being responsible means being accountable and providing policies, regulations, programs and tools for Albertans as we strive for the responsible consumption of alcohol throughout the province.
